This is a large 30x40 inch canvas mixed media piece based on an original design I created within Photoshop and Illustrator. I combined the process of painting and screen printing to bring this to life and even built my own screen in order to achieve this. The piece itself is one of my more abstract creations focusing on themes of escapism, fear of time, nostalgia and wanting to be in a better place.
The process from design to final product took about 6 months. This photo was fairly early on during the painting process.
I handmade a 4x5 foot screen in order to print one layer of the graphic on canvas.
